My approach to therapy is handled with patience, gentleness, and genuineness. We will take baby steps as we work to answer questions and find solutions. True healing takes time, commitment, energy, humility, and awareness. It’s not easy, but it’s so worth it.

As an IFS-trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I create a safe, compassionate, and affirming space for healing and growth. While my work is deeply rooted in supporting Black women and LGBTQIA+ communities, I also hold space for white clients and clients of all identities who are committed to anti-racism, liberation, and showing up with self-awareness and care. Therapy Fees

Tasha Hunter, MSW, LCSW is not in network with any insurance provider. Payment is due at the beginning of each session. As an out of network provider, I can assist you with filing your insurance claim by providing a document called a super bill. Filing a claim with your insurance provider does not always guarantee reimbursement. You must contact your insurance provider directly to verify benefits and out of pocket expenses.

In 2025, my updated fee structure reflects my commitment to providing sustainable, equitable, and compassionate care. I honor the value of my work while making space for accessibility, ensuring that all who entrust me with their healing journey feel supported.

Session Rates

  • 30 minute sessions: $65–$85

  • 50–60 minute sessions: $145–$175

  • 80–90 minute sessions: $190–$220

Choosing a Time Slot That Fits Your Needs

Shorter sessions (30 minutes) are ideal for long term clients who desire:

  • Focused check-ins.

  • Solution-focused processing and resourcing for immediate needs.

Standard sessions (50–60 minutes) are best for:

  • Regular, in-depth therapy.

  • Navigating transitions, grief, or trauma.

  • Building self-awareness and self-connection.

Extended sessions (80–90 minutes) are ideal for:

  • Deep, intensive work for complex emotional or relational challenges.

  • Unburdening heavy or longstanding issues.

  • Creating space for reflection, connection, and healing.

Equitable Sliding Scale Guide

This guide is designed to help you determine which fee and session length best aligns with your current financial situation and healing needs. This model is rooted in trust, integrity, and self-assessment.

1. Pay at the Standard Rate

This option ensures the longevity of my work while allowing me to provide reduced rates to those in need. Choose the standard rate if:

  • You can comfortably meet your basic needs (housing, food, savings).

  • You have stable income and financial security.

  • You want to help sustain equitable access to care for others.

Standard Rates:

30 minutes: $80

50–60 minutes: $175

80–90 minutes: $220

2. Pay at the Lower End of the Scale

This option allows you to access care while honoring your current capacity. The lower end of the sliding scale is available if you are navigating financial challenges, such as:

  • Systemic barriers due to race, gender, sexuality, or other marginalized identities.

  • Irregular or unstable income.

  • Financial strain due to dependents, medical expenses, cost of living in a capitalistic hellscape, student loans, or unexpected hardship.

Lower End Scale Rates:

30 minutes: $65

50–60 minutes: $150

80–90 minutes: $190
